Description

3D Axis Positioning – Enhanced Stability – Spacious Operating Area

Stereotaxic for Mouse and Rat – Manual and Digital version.

Animal stereotaxic instruments are important research tools in the fields of neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, neuropharmacology, and neurosurgery. They are used for directed injections, stimulation, lesioning, evoked potentials, and other operations on neural structures. They can be used for establishing animal models of Parkinson’s disease, epilepsy, brain tumors, learning and memory, neural stem cell transplantation, brain ischemia, and other research areas.

This instrument comes with a set of rat adapters and a pair of ear bars

Description

Introduction

This new design concept of brain stereotaxic instrument has new breakthroughs in working principle, stability, operability, etc., which are specifically reflected in:

  1. X, Y, Y axis three-dimensional mobile positioning method. The X, Y two-dimensional platform fixes the animal’s head. Through the X, Y axis transmission, the platform moves accordingly in the X and Y directions, and the animal’s head and body move smoothly accordingly, thereby locating the X (ML) and Y (AP) two-dimensional coordinate points of the brain area.
  2. More stable performance and longer service life. The transmission principle of the screw drive combined with the rolling rail is adopted, which is similar to the rolling of train wheels on rails. The friction between the two is reduced, which also reduces the rapid wear caused by direct friction between metal parts. Therefore, the performance is more stable and the service life is extended.
  3. Wide operating space. The space above the animal’s head and body is only the Z axis, which frees up more space for the coordinated use of other instruments and equipment, manual operation, etc.
