Episode Description
This week on The Conduct Science Podcast, Mitch and Tom take a look at the science the movies got wrong! Before that of course, the boys update you on some news of the week relating to glass in the Atacama Desert, a Xenobot update, and the COVID-19 Omicron variant. Naturally, they move to speaking about cooking and cooking shows after this 🙂 Back on track though Mitch explains why films such as Independence Day, Skyfall, Rampage, and Harry Potter are scientifically inaccurate. Could they really hack a alien ship and could Aragog really be that big? Tom takes us to look at Gravity and Armageddon. There are 168+ scientific inaccuracies in Armageddon so Tom focuses on the biggest three issues. CONTENT WARNING: SPOILERS FOR FILMS THAT CAME OUT 1998-2018!!! You have been warned!
