It is important to carefully read and follow the submission guidelines before submitting your work. Each journal has its own specific guidelines, so it is important to consult Methods to Conduct Science's guidelines before starting the process.
Here are some general tips for following submission guidelines:
Author Guidelines
- Authors must submit cover letter template with their submission
- The cover letter must contain:
- Title of manuscript to be submitted.
- Type of manuscript to be submitted. For example, study, report, article.
- The implications and potential of the research discussed within the manuscript.
- Authors involved.
- Declaration of any conflicts of interest.
- Accepted file formats: .doc, .docx, .pdf, google doc
- Images can be inserted into text for placement purposes and submitted as individual files.
- Accepted image formats: .JPEG, .png.
- Font: Times New Roman, Font size: 12, Line spacing: 1.5
- Place images, graphs, tables (.xls, .xlsx format)
- Accepted reference format: Harvard
Manuscript Guidelines
For the majority of manuscripts to be considered for submission to Methods to Conductscience the following manuscript guidelines are expected from scientific studies, for reports and other types of manuscripts, some of the components of the following are expected:
- Cover letter with name of the article, author names, affiliations per author, conflicts if interest (essential).
- Three-hundred word abstract (essential)
- Five keywords (essential)
- Abbreviations (essential)
- Introduction (essential)
- Methods
- Results
- Conflicts of interests (essential)
- Conclusion addressing implications of the study or report (essential)
- Reference list (essential)
Publication Fees
- Methods to ConductScience charge fees for publishing articles. These fees, are used to cover the costs of publication, such as paying for editing, layout, and online hosting.
- The fees for publishing can vary widely, depending on the journal or the type of article being published. Some journals charge higher fees for original research articles than they do for review articles or case reports. The fees can also vary based on the length of the article, with longer articles generally costing more to publish.
